V 1.1 IS HERE!
We’ve been listening to our customers, both new and existing, and we want to make sure that we’re offering you the best possible experience on HoloHub. This means keeping up with new features and adapting the platform so that it works for everyone’s needs.
This is a new exciting era for HoloHub since version 1.1 will bring you two major updates we are extremely proud to share.
META QUEST SUPPORT.
We know Meta Quest headsets are some of the most popular headsets out there and we realised how essential HoloHub supporting Meta Quests headsets was. And, in fact, here we are! HoloHub can now be used on your Meta Quest to connect your Quest to your Hub and to download any app from your Hub onto your device or any other feature you would expect HoloHub to perform on other channels.
How do I use this feature? Sign up to HoloHub, it’s completely free and get your Quest ready (always remember to check if it’s charged, headsets tend to run out of battery faster than you’d think!) and use the installer tool to get started.
UPLOADING CONTENT FROM YOUR BROWSER?
We had countless conversations with HoloHub users needing a seamless way to upload content on HoloHub directly from their web browser (we get it, sometimes a desktop app is not what you’re looking for or it may need IT approval). This feature makes it easier for anyone using HoloHub to add their own content quickly and easily, without needing technical knowledge or assistance from our team or any technical team.
How do I use this feature? If you’re already signed up to HoloHub, access your Hub on the web version and hover into the “upload” option. You can upload your own content as simple as that!
OTHER FIXES AND IMPROVEMENTS.
In this new version of HoloHub we also fixed and improved stability issues, with added speed to your experience on the platform including UX/UI, meaning you can easily locate what you need inside the platform. With HoloHub’s new improved app management, you can now manage any of your apps on your headset, not just HoloHub apps.
