OUR ENTRY: THE VBEE.
The construction industry is responsible for 36% of final energy use and 39% of energy and process-related carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions, meaning the sustainable future of construction will be set by younger generations entering the industry. So, the main goal of the VBEE (part of CONVERT) is to widen participation and educate young people about career opportunities and what these might look like in a future that considers sustainability as a key priority. Educating younger generations about sustainable methods can change the course of the industry, creating a workforce aware of climate change’s effects.
